I moved up my CF clinic appointment from Thursday to today because I am still not feeling well.  My lung functions are way down which is no surprise to me because I can feel it.  Here is what the numbers look like…warning they aren’t pretty…

October 22, 2015 – FVC (lung volume) 2.88L/81% and FEV1 (amount of air forced out in the first second) 1.58L/53%

Today January 18, 2016 – FVC 1.82L/51% and FEV1 0.97L/33%

So you can see that I had an entire liter and 30% decline in my FVC (lung volume) AND a decline of a little over a half of a liter and 20% on my FEV1.  I defiantly can tell that I am that low because I get short of breath doing nothing.

Treatment plan:  Starting IV Zoysn and oral Cipro along with a prednisone burst tonight.  If I am not better in a week or two I will be seen and we will reevaluate with a possible admission to get things sorted out.  I just want to feel better!  It’s been since mid October since I felt decent.

Short and sweet update for now.  I’m going to lay down.  I’m worn out from going to Walmart and the doctor today.  I’ll update more later.
