I went to see my CF doctor today on national doctor day…haha.  I was there for a sick visit not to wish him a happy day.  I have been coughing more, especially at night which sucks.  I wanted to be seen and get on something before it gets too bad especially with it being a holiday weekend.  

My lung functions were pretty stable which is good that they weren’t down since I don’t feel the greatest.  My FEV1 was 33%/.93L, so still not great but steady is steady.

We decided to go the route of 2 oral antibiotics for 2 weeks, minocycline and levaquin.  I technically have an allergy to tetracyclines but it was a rash when I was much younger so we are giving it another go.  I am starting the minocycline first for a few days so I can tell if I am reacting to it.  I started the minocycline when I got home and I will start the levaquin on Sunday.

Here’s to hoping and praying that I will be better in 2 weeks.
